In normal deleting commands, the file entry from the File Allocation Table (FAT) is removed. The actual data from the hard disk is not set free. The data from that memory location is over written automatically and is the privilege of Operating System.

Shredding files is done using the following directives:
  Normal (1 Pass)
  DOD 5220.22-M (3 Passes)
  NSA (7 Passes)
  Guttman (35 Passes)

Once shredded, there is no known way in which the data can be restored back. Use a Free Windows Cleaneror a Windows Washer to shred clean the data in your PC and restore your privacy and control.
